Founder: Anna Champion

Anna's life revolves around developing emerging talent.  Her passion lies in seeing people realise their potential as individuals. Her corporate life was primarily focused on recruiting and developing people at the beginning of their careers. She commenced her career in London recruiting and developing trainee solicitors from UK based universities for a law firm. Subsequently she moved to a global investment bank where she created an infrastructure wide graduate programme (hiring over 150 graduates into 11 different business areas) before heading to Singapore to lead the Asia region through a transformation in their recruitment and development practices from universities and business schools.  She streamlined the application process, improved the development programme and the firm was recognised as the Graduate Employer of the Year in Singapores 100 Leading Graduate Employers.

Her next focus of emerging talent development centred around her own children... possibly the most challenging of all! Although it was a break from corporate life, Anna spent this time working on a few projects personally and professionally. She was instrumental in founding the South East Asian Association of Graduate Employers and has also supported the Hong Kong Association of Graduate Recruiters. An international move to Norway allowed her to focus on building up her understanding of another culture as well as studying to be an International Coach Federation accredited career and life coach.

Moving to Hong Kong, she set up The Talent Lighthouse and spent time with many of the Universities in the Asia region supporting their career programmes. She also had the opportunity to support both large organisations and individual early career talent. As all good stories (and careers go) there is always a twist in the tale… and Anna found herself back in a large conglomerate redesigning and managing a well known early career programme. It gave her the opportunity to be back doing what she loved - interacting with outstanding early career talent and supporting their journeys to success. Another twist in the tale took her and her family to be based in Viet Nam. Covid threw a great deal of challenge on us all and thanks to remote working she continued with her role for a number of years.

The next chapter is just being written and here we are based in the UK and turning the light back on at The Talent Lighthouse.

why a lighthouse?

A lighthouse for us is a place of calm and strength. One of Anna's favourite places to visit in Norway was a lighthouse in a small fishing village in Alnes. Whatever the extremes of weather it remained a place of peace and stability and sold the most amazing cakes!
